BMW Alegría Ad
When Alegría began its Asia-Pacific tour in Australia, the
car maker BMW jumped at the chance to sponsor the tour. For the sponsorship,
BMW produced and displayed a series of pictures featuring the two
contortionists. Excerpts from their press release and those pictures
are below:
BMW Australia will take its long-standing support for the arts to
new heights in 2001 as presenting sponsor of the Alegría national
performance tour by Cirque du Soleil.
The Managing Director of the BMW Group Australia, Mr Uwe Hartmann, said
the sponsorship of Alegría was an exciting and spectacular addition to BMW's
expanding support programme for the Australian performing and visual arts.
"Alegria represents high performance, innovation, excellence and exhilaration - all
core BMW values which are shared by our customers," he said.
"It is an exciting and dynamic extension of our support for a wide range of
cultural activities in Australia and is in itself an innovative and ideal opportunity to
present the qualities of BMW to an even broader audience."
