Washington Trapeze

There are actually two Solo Trapeze performances. One is a stand in act by one of the Duo Trapeze artists. The second, and the featured act of the show, is the Washington Trapeze performance. It is one of the more slow-paced acts of «O» and is set to a wonderful piece of music. Unfortunately, it is not available on the show's CD, but you can find a version of it on "Journey of Man" -- it is the title track.

The Washington Trapeze is a unique piece of equipment because it is built on a metal frame and swings in a pendulum motion, instead of a more traditional rope-hung trapeze. The artist here takes great care with her graze and mezmerizes us all when she balances on her head and lets go of the apparatus. Swining in mid-air, she is undaunted and does it again... and again!
