Two characters appear on stage. Overdressed and carrying a man - our Everyman. Once they set him down he tries fitfully to leave, but he cannot. They prevent him. They will not allow him to leave. Submitting to his situation, the man tries to shake the hands of the strangers. They look surprised. They do not understand his kindness. They are frightened. And he wonderes just where he is... but then a new creature makes herself known - a grosse femme - and laughs at him. And to his rescue, so to speak, come a man - a ringleader - that beccons him to watch. Thus begins the Nouvelle Experience!
