Experience
Manipulation

More than mere jugglers, Jean Besnard, Patrick McGuire and Steven Ragatz manipulate a ball and wave-shaped metal forms with utmost dexterity. The ball will hypnotize you as it endlessly appears and disappears right before your eyes. Although this act looks easy, it requires superhuman precision and concentration. Michael Moschen, well known for his original manipulation acts, developed this act specially for Cirque du Soleil.

The Manipulation act was originally created by Michael Moschen for Cirque du Soleil's resident show Mystère at the Treasure Island Las Vegas, however, during the creation of Quidam the act was removed from Mystère to tour with Quidam. Manipulation was only seen during the first North American Tour (1996-1998) and has not been seen in a Cirque production since. The artists worse blue suits with matching bowler hats with mirrors upon their chest. Upon uniquely shaped sheets of metal, the apparati is used to juggle balls and other assorted particles to the amazement of the audience. The act required perfect concentration and timing.
